I’ll list this here

Screen: Mentioned many times that the screen is amazing. I wish the image resolution was set higher applying qHD or better.

- Dual Core Processor/16 GB Storage/SD Cards: Compared to every some other Android Device I’ve used this thing is really a speed demon. It has 16GB of storage and an Facts slot. Check.

- 8MP Camera: I’ll list this in this article. Megapixels don’t mean every little thing. Samsung did a nice job while using the optics and rendering for the camera app for this kind of S2. 1080P video recording is usually okay. It’s almost on par which has a cheaper point and shoot camera I acquired almost two years before that does 1080P. You might be rather impressed recording video and with the standard of the pictures given good lighting as well as a steady hand. If you’re trying to capture something a lot more than 15-30 feet away according to the lighting conditions or while you’re moving and panning around or recording sports you’ll still realize it doesn’t perform well enough to change an HD camera or HD camcorder.

— *Hardware Cons* —
I don’t like that the power button is opposite the quantity buttons. It sometimes leads to accidental presses of the button on the contrary. There have been more than once when the phone has been on silent/vibrate mode, I hear the mobile phone vibrate, pressed the button to check the message, put the phone aside, and then I hear another message because I accidentally hit the quantity up button. Also, it is true that the phone does get sizzling. It doesn’t get so hot it affects using the mobile phone. I would say it gets alarmingly warm. I only experience this kind of if I’m using polling NAVIGATION while streaming data over 3G or using the Wifi Hotspot feature.

— *Hardware Neutral* —
- Home key/button is really a physical button. This was definitely diverse from any other Android mobile phone I’ve used that experienced capacitive buttons. I liked it for that convenience of not always needing to press the power button to turn the display on. This was something I grew utilized to doing by pressing the trackball for the Nexus One and your home button on the iphone, but Samsung was not really helping their case of their disputes with Apple and I speculate it may well partly be the reason north america versions all use the traditional capacitive buttons.

- Plastic material is fine for me. I’ve noticed some micro abrasions that occurred for the rear below the battery cover before I obtained and received my circumstance. It’s not noticeable. I just feel that there is always some sort of compromise between weight, scratch resistance, ruggedness, etc when OEMs make use of different materials.

- It lacks any search button. I sometimes miss the comfort of not having to press the menu button to look through Gmail and some other applications. However, I understand it was sacrificed for that physical home button which are the device more unique. Also, because this only features 3 hardware/capacitive buttons vs the greater common 4 button configuration in many US Android devices I’m not sure how this kind of phone will incorporate a few of the newer features of Android mobile phone 4. 0 such as app management. That is when/if that is updated to Android some. 0 (see gripe beneath)

- Well, this thing is any phone. Call quality is great for me using AT&T. It’s not great. Reception is probably any 7 or 8 outside of 10. The speakerphone is just okay. The sound seems thin in my opinion. I never had any complaints about bluetooth pairing/connections out from the box aside from by using a couple headsets I later faulted after realizing they were crappy refurbishments. I also haven’t any experienced any issues with data. My service won’t come anywhere nearby the theoretical speeds on your device(not its mistake).

- Out of your box battery life is adequate to last you at all hours. Evening/overnight charging is required like virtually every other smartphone used moderately at all hours for phone calls, web surfing, checking email, apps, etc. Don’t expect to be capable of do substantial video playback/streaming or gps without access to a charger.

I’m a corporate cell phone user and IT Representative of my company. Black Friday

I’m a corporate mobile phone user and IT Overseer of my company. Consequently, I actually oversee the mobile phones for our company and get the opportunity to try out a wide range of good phones. To date, the Atrix has been the very best I’ve ever used (that includes iPhones furthermore). I don’t dictate what phones our users carry because I make sure as a personal decision; I just make suggestions as to which phones work best with your backend systems. Because of this visibility, I see almost each high-end phone that hits the market eventually. The Atrix has been the very best up until the recent release in the Atrix 2! Both are excellent devices.

I use AT&T Premier to deal with our phones and one of many benefits is I at times get new phones prior to actual release date; that was the case while using Atrix. I got my hands on mine a week or two prior to official release and I’ve nothing bad to say over it. When it first unveiled, there were a few annoying limitations that possibly AT&T or Motorola experienced implemented. For one, they had disabled the conventional Android side load feature along with the other was a limitation within the hot spot feature in which caused it to only work when the phone had a 3G network. A subsequent firmware replace removed both issues. Neither issue was a serious concern for me (I possibly could still use Android ADB to be able to load apps and I will be almost always in the 3G area when I must use the hot spot) i really was very happy while using phone and even more pleased with later improvements. The only other somewhat negative attribute in the phone to me was that this back plate was very slick as i first got the cellular phone. I’m a person exactly who basically never drops my personal phone but I dropped this place twice early on given it was so slick. My previous phone was the Nexus One that had a rubberized really feel and I had to become accustomed to the Atrix’s case. Again, not a major matter; I mentally and physically adjusted on the phone and haven’t lowered it since. Plus, over time, the back has gotten a little scuffed which resulted in nullifying the slick aspect.

I didn’t read the rest of the reviews here but Used to do notice that most of the key features are insured, system specs and like. I’ll try to steer clear of repeating stuff that was already covered and give people my impressions and responses to many negative comments I’ve seen concerning this phone. At the time Now i am writing this, I’ve been using the device for well over 6 months and know it well.

This phone is a fantastic phone and during release, was in my view, the best Android phone out there… possibly even the best cell phone out there. Obviously, I haven’t used each phone available but of many that I have utilized, the Atrix takes the top spot. The specs of the device were a step above all others at release and it has been an excellent cellular phone. The call quality is great and operation is smooth and incredibly robust. I have a bad ear and still have struggled for years to locate a phone that is loud enough for me to use comfortably; this has been a challenge for me pretty much since the industry switched to digital cell phones. The Atrix is the primary phone I’ve had in years i always have no problems experiencing; it is quite loud enough for me to use comfortably. And other than the two issues I listed above (that had been corrected), this has been the best phone.

Some people complain regarding the camera on this cellular phone. I find the camera to be perfectly adequate. I don’t buy a phone because of its camera and there’s not likely a phone currently available that doesn’t have a camera that might satisfy me. I know others put more stock in cameras than I truly do and that’s their prerogative. The phone takes great photos and the video is extremely good as well. I have no grievances here.

I’ve heard people complain regarding the battery life of that phone. Well, the battery life is actually one of many areas where this cellular phone absolutely shines! I’ve been using smart phones for years and as long as they’ll finish a full day without having dying, I’m satisfied with them. Every smart phone We have had and/or setup or supported in the past has had to be charged daily (with one exception contour Atrix). This is usually the shock for feature phone users who manage to get their first smart phone because feature phones can typically run for several days on a single charge. The difference is in which smart phones are constantly updating over the web throughout the day that drains the battery and the majority have massive touch screens currently that also drain this battery; so, you pretty much must charge them daily. Very few will run every day and night and most will die well before the 24 hour draw; but I regularly find 36 hours of life outside of my Atrix and that’s without resorting to the night saver function. I still usually charge it nightly, but when I overlook, I don’t worry excessive because I’ve only fully ran it dry a few times since I’ve had the item. Most of the moment, it’s still running as i plug it in at bedtime the next night; that’s roughly 40 a long time! That’s pretty awesome from a smart phone. Keep in mind that battery life seemingly dependent on how it truly is used and each person could have a different experience but I can say certainly that this phone has one of the better, if not the finest, performing battery on this market.

However, I have helped several people who complained about the battery life on this phone and they weren’t exactly wrong in their complaints. What I found is that if you don’t fully charge the phone when you first get it, before initializing it initially, whatever your battery level is at the time you set up the phone stands out as the max you’ll get out of it. The phone apparently assumes the device is fully charged when you push the button and the battery administrator uses that initial charge level since the base level for the 100% charge. This may have been corrected in a very later firmware update. But using the initial firmware the device shipped with, if the phone ended up being at 40% when you push the button, it would show 100% following configuration was complete and start counting down from right now there. I have read comments from other users who suggest that the battery manager can adjust itself over several charge cycles. But if you will charge the device to 100% before people configure it, I’ve found that you may not encounter this issue. If you already created this mistake, you can correct it by charging the device overnight and then execute a factory reset (Settings/Privacy/Factory Data Reset) although it is 100% charged.

(Notice: Performing a factory totally reset will erase everything within the phone; you’ll lose any text messages and call history and anything else you don’t have backed up someplace else, including apps. I find resetting an Android phone to become simple task because I am able to quickly reload the apps I exploit and I don’t really care plainly lose old texts or the device logs. My contacts and e-mail are all restored when I reconfigure the device. There is always a period of reconfiguring apps along with custom settings that can take a little time but I don’t still find it to be much of a hassle. You should be alert to what will happen prior to do a reset along with make a backup in case you are concerned about losing anything at all important.)

Another area I see people pay about this phone may be the screen. They usually compare it a great iPhone and say it looks washed out or something along individuals lines. It doesn’t look the same as an iPhone to make certain; but the screen looks great in my opinion. And the automatic backlight lighting management on this phone is preferable to any other I’ve ever before used; most of the moment I turn them away from and manage the lighting manually because phones usually do such a poor job managing this brightness themselves; but I leave this Atrix on automatic rather than have a complaint. I’ve compared the Atrix a great iPhone while outside in bright sunlight and while I’ve never seen an LCD succeed in this situation, the Atrix does seem to be more usable in sunlight in my opinion.

Having been annoyed by Apple Black Friday 2011 Critical Reviews

Having been aggravated while Apple’s antics, like its locked proprietary features and also the hassle of going through iTunes with a credit card simply to look with things, let alone the insufficient drag and drop regarding files, I saw Google’s Android platform as being a deliverer. A friend suggested that we get Samsung’s Galaxy S 4G and I did so so in June 2011 hoping that we would also manage to do Skype video telephone calls. What a disappointment. That phone, saddled with Android a couple of. 2 Froyo could just do video one-sided telephone calls. The other person could see you nevertheless, you couldn’t see them for the reason that front camera rule isn’t followed on Skype calls together with Froyo. I contacted Samsung about a whispered upgrade to Android os 2. 3 that enables two-way Skype telephone calls but their Support Dept. coldly replied on Nov. 13: “Samsung Telecommunications America [is] struggling to speculate when/if a software revision on this feature might be available mainly because that this might cause inaccurate information and distress. ” So much intended for manufacturer’s service. Furthermore, while the iPhone allowed one to text or type emails in a large number of languages, the Galaxy only presents six, whereas Google offers dozens too. Next, the Galaxy is packed with junk software such since Double Twist and Layar that, even if you settled the phone and you are legally the owner, you simply cannot uninstall all of them, unless you root the phone, something that may bring about problems. Other things are bothersome too. Even if you fixed the Brightness at Full, suddenly the phone darkens because it sets itself to a lower brightness. Also the Voice/Text to Speech happens without reason and additional minor changes happen you did not trigger. Sadly, the best thing with this phone is its Amoled show.

Review By Charles T. King:
The console arrived with two boxes. One (console)weighing with at 98lbs., and the second (fire box) weighing with at 38lbs. The console arrived completely in pieces with many screws and parts important to put it together. The instructions I may not rate for a beginner because they are not well available. It took six hours that will put the console together however everything was there as well as the wood was not soluble fiber board stuff you commonly find at IKEA. Once put together it is just a very solid piece connected with furniture, but I was concerned when i saw the IKEA type screws to support certain sections of your wood together. The firebox is many one piece and slides into the finished assembled console which has a wood block and screws to hold it in place. I found this to still keep the firebox loose and extra two small wood screws against the back of the firebox which keeps it more snug. Once it was many setup with my tv set components I plugged within the fireplace and turned this on. The heat unit works great and can nicely supplement the heat within the winter for this just one bedroom apartment in Portland, Oregon. The flame and firewood functions all work wonderful although I was disappointed the logs didn’t better resemble more red coals burning around the logs with instead being identical colors as the flare (yellow/orange). It was not worth taking the slide apart to send this back, but a better close-up picture of the flame and logs could well be great for future buyers. Overall I am thrilled with the size and dimensions with this console/fireplace. However, next time I pay this kind of price for something such as this I will buy just one assembled and working prior to I make the purchase. I give this product or service a four star rating because of the wood, glass in the doorways, and the solid construction after it turned out assembled.

By C. Kennedy “BookReaderCaC” (Indiana):
First off, I would like to point out that I shopped both online and in stores for an electric open fireplace for months. When I finally chosen this one, I still thought hard about this for weeks before We actually placed my order. This is the first-time that I have ever before ordered furniture online in addition to I was very nervous about not seeing the product or service before making my purchase, but the other opinions had me convinced as well as the price was unbeatable anywhere else I looked (as well as Big Lots). So I ordered this, and I have had it 90 days now.

Shipping:
My new media console and fireplace attained my house (in Indiana) just a few days after I placed my order. It arrived in two large, very heavy packages. One package contained the materials to the console itself and one other, which had “FRAGILE” created in large letters across it turned out the electric fireplace. There are many different pieces on the cabinet itself, so I recommend doing what I did which was opening your box somewhere with plenty of room, and laying out each piece in order that everything had been included (and in order that nothing had been ruined). Everything that was supposed to be included was there in addition to intact.

Assembly:
Obviously, the console itself needs to be assembled. The assembly wasn’t difficult (as i am a 25 calendar year old woman who achieved it by myself), but it is frustrating, taking about three hours to complete (although I needed my time). The hardware didn’t seem cheap to me and every major piece is fit with several wood dowels to help guide the pieces jointly perfectly. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ADOPTING THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER AND TAKING YOUR TIME AND ENERGY!!! The pieces are created to go together in a very specific order and once they have been locked together, it is almost impossible to consider them apart again. This means that should you forget a step, you could be with big trouble. The instructions aren’t excellent descriptive so read a couple of times to make sure you understand what your are performing. There is an optional support piece which is supposed to go in the middle of the shelf to prevent the top piece from bowing if you have a somewhat heavy tv. I would recommend getting it in during assembly if you have a tv any larger than about 36 inches as i have already seen one review where the person didn’t use your support piece, and his did bow within the weight of his tv. Once it was concluded, I was however impressed by how sturdy the machine was once it had been constructed.

Product Review:
I did want to bring up that the firebox per se isn’t as deep as the cabinet is. This makes for a nice place in the rear of the unit to place your power strip for all of your electronics so as to place the cabinet flush resistant to the wall without leaving an unsightly gap between the unit and the wall membrane. It was a satisfying surprise. As I mentioned prior to, most of the main bits of the unit are real stained wood and people that are not continue to be stained well to match the important wood pieces. Occasionally I go within the entertainment stand with wooden polish, which brings out your nice espresso color within the wood. The unit itself is really a beautiful, uniform color and is quite sturdy considering that it turned out assembled. I love the case space and width of the unit.

If you want a fireplace that seems as if real fire, get a real open fireplace. I spent a wide range of time looking at these when i was shopping around and contrary to some the reviews, I think the fire looks better than lots of the electric fireplaces that We’ve seen (including several nice hotels i always have stayed at). I’m sure that they will do make more reasonable electric fireplaces, but you won’t find any surrounding this price, I’ve looked. The fire consists connected with varying shades of yellow and orange, but to me, the movement of the flames is around as as realistic seeing that any I’ve seen. The brightness of your logs can be adjusted plus the brightness/level of the fire, which is nice if you want the fire to seem low or when you’re trying to watch a movie for the tv and you will not want the brightness of the fireplace to be distracting. I have a fairly small lounge, so I can have the heat from the heat tank on the couch only when it’s at medium setting, but I could observe where it probably wouldn’t heat a greater room by itself. In my case however, the space heater within the unit adds a nice warmth on the room (sometimes far too warm). The remote control means that you can change the brightness of the logs and the fire, and to turn your heater off or with, but the thermostat to the heater must be adjusted for the firebox itself.

After three months of getting this product, I must say that I am crazy about it. With all of your features, I really feel like I obtained lots of “bang to the buck”. It adds a quite welcoming glow and warmth to my lounge and I get compliments about it every time I have company. For the price, definitely five stars.
